mulka 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2005 Thanks to Kevin and Rajan. Tried them but couldnot succeed. When I tried installing on another Win2K system it worked perfectly okay. Even reinstalled the XP OS on the first machine without any success. Seems like a local software problem because I am not getting an generic DUN connection even after installation of modem. ismail_ngr 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2005 (edited) Hi Hemant, Just now i was configured the LSP-340e on WinXP after failed with r-connect software from reliance. I was modifed the INF file for the modem now. Now the system was working well right now i am posting via this system only. Kindly follow the guidelines. 1. First you should remove all unwanted modems via your control panel in Phone and Modem Options applet. Also removed unwanted DUN entry too. 2. Download the mdmgen_xp.zip on the post and unzip your desired location. 3. Double click on Phone and Modem Options applet in control panel > Modem > add button. 4. Select the driver from your unzipped location and add the modem. 5. Then click properties > advanced and copy past the AT commnad AT+CRM=1;$LGPKT=3 6: Apply all new settings and click diagnostics tab on the modem details and click query modem button. It will help to confirm the cable and modem part of 340e is working well. 7. Go to network connection and create new connection with the new modem in DUN entry. and put #777 is dialing number and put your phone number as user name / password. Don't put 0 (zero). 8. If you get error 678 just restart your pc then try to connect it. If you still facing problems contact me over ismail.ngr at gmail dot com via google talk or the below GSM number. I am ready to help you. With Care, mdmgen_xp.zip Edited January 18, 2006 by ismail_ngr
mulka 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2005 Hello, Thanks for the comments. Tried everything - problem still persists. I have tried to pry into the event log. It indicates problem with Remote access connection manager (access denied). Tried the installation keeping this service 'on' forcefully w/o success.
