Dos Programme Print With Usb Printer ?

I recently upgraded my old dotmatrix with a new laserjet under exchange, now the problem is that i am not able to take a printout from my old dos applications as they support parallel interface, plz hlp

you are using windows based dos or the DOS 6.2

it is window based dos, (and i am trying for a print when window is on) but still not getting it done ?

dude share the printer on the machine

then use the following command to use it on dos

Example :-------------------------------

share your printer with name "XYZ"
assuming your computer name is "localhost" then

                    use the command in dos to establish a connection
      NET USE LPT1: \\localhost\xyz /PERSISTENT:YES

PERSISTENT {yes:no} = the command givin should be persistent or no

                 use the command to delete the connection

                             net use LPT1 /Delete  

hope this should help you out! if it would have been proper dos then you would have to get the usb drivers for the printers you have for DOS!
