Airtel Landline Number To Have New Series

Theres one more number change thing is coming up this time its for Airtel.............. Since all there Landline numbers gona have unique 4 to start with. Right now they were using 5, And were sharing that series with TATA.............. The only thing is good in this is they are only changing the first digit and not anything else.....................

Any body have some confirmation that Airtel launched their landline or basic phone or broadband in UP or not. As i saw some banner and hoarding related to this at Diwali. But no info till now.

i am not sure abount other places, but they have been operating in Noida for over 6 months now.

In June they approached my dads company with an offer for broadband and wireline telephone which they claimed were to be launched in Novemeber....but nothing yet.

Actually there is been Soft launched of Airtel Landline in mumbai.. for quiet a some time now...............i suppose not offically avilable every where in mumbai........... As far as airtel office in mumbai is concern they use it now a days there number only..... in mumbai as of now there numbers stars from 500........ will find some info abt it

Airtel to bring number change into effect

COIMBATORE: In the wake of the Department of Telecom's directive on numbering plan for fixed line phones, Airtel has undertaken a pan-India operation to bring the number change into effect from November 27.

With this, Airtel phones whose number begins with digit '5' would change to '4,' a company release here said.

However, all incoming calls made on the existing numbers would be connected till February next.
