abhay 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2005 Airtel to bring number change into effect COIMBATORE: In the wake of the Department of Telecom's directive on numbering plan for fixed line phones, Airtel has undertaken a pan-India operation to bring the number change into effect from November 27. With this, Airtel phones whose number begins with digit '5' would change to '4,' a company release here said. However, all incoming calls made on the existing numbers would be connected till February next. http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1308370.cms
