Rconnect For Nokia Ca-42

Recommended Posts

Hello,

As suggested by Reliance Website, I had purchased CA-42 cable for connecting my Nokia 3125 to the net. But after downloading the RCOnnect V2.0 (rconnect_nokia_usb.zip) from reliance website, i found that it was installing the DKU-5 drivers. I am not able to locate RConnect software to be used with CA-42 cable. Please let me know where i can get RConnect software for use with CA-42 data cable.

Earlier, I had purchased a DKU-5 cable (the cheaper one).. I tried all the drivers (the one from the cd, prolific driver).. I am able to connect to the internet, but my handset does not disconnect. I need to reinstall all drivers to connect to the net again. I can not rectify this aswell. Appreciate any ideas on getting this rectified.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Rajan.

Hello,

Thanks for the inputs.

Using CA-42 I was able to connect to RConnect. I had done the following.

1. Installed the CA-42 Cable driver.

2. Installed the Modem Driver.

As suggested I tried installing the Nokia Suite but I was not able to update the modem driver (the Nokia Suite Modem driver was later than the CDMA driver and I wasnt able to force the CDMA driver through). Hence I uninstalled the Nokia PC Suite and i installed the Modem driver and it started working great.

The download speed was also good.

Best Regards,

Rajan.
