The Phone is not officially launched till now, so it is not available at RIM Website. And regarding your next question. The Java based R World is far more best than Brew based R World. Reliance is trying to make R World accessible at Brew based phone but it may take a long way to come.

Thanks and Take Care!

Hey, that 6230 looks neat! And atleast for me, 256 MB is enough for carrying daily stock of MP3s. On an average of 5MB per mp3, it will carry atleast 40-50 songs. not at all bad, if it comes in the range of 7000-8000Rs. Max 9000.

Also, 32 poly ringtones! now that's an update.

Wow 6230 looks very very good.

Just one prob seems ... BREW .. Does Reliance give all r-world videos on BREW platform too (or is it only on Java).

I'd love to watch videos on 6230.

MP3 is also a great feature... Better 256 MB could also be used to save more video songs.

Java (from Sun Microsystems) and BREW (from Qualcomm) are the two leading platforms used to download and run applications on mobile handsets. Java 2 Micro Edition, or J2ME, is the lightweight variant of the Java platform that has been adapted for use on mobile devices. BREW is a Qualcomm platform designed specifically to support a marketplace for applications and application components downloaded to mobile handsets.

Since BREW applications are new to Reliance, they may not have yet developed many of the applications available in the J2ME version of R-World.

Yeah .. in something like this FM Radio should have been there.

Would have made things easier, when you justify the price tag.

btw .... Does ANY phone offered by reliance allow access to WAP sites.

I have never-ever used WAP ..... though, I have used Google, Yahoo search etc. using R-surf. Is that also called WAP. (If not, then in what category does R-surf fall into).

And what could be the commercial / technical reason for reliance not offering WAP access?

with Brew LG 6230 will stand almost same as Nokia 6235 in case of Rworld.

th4 6235 myt win. after all its NOKIA.

Reliance never support brew tech so far. But i think lg 6130 is best until we know price of 6230. For R World 5130 or 6130 is best!

Thanks and Take Care!

Well, R-surf does support wap sites (like wap.sify.com, wap.rediff.com, tagtag.com etc..), but the Jatayu browser used by RIM does not seem to be much compatible with wap sites. Many of them work, at the same time many does not (like wap.yahoo.com)...So it must be the browser problem, otehrwise RIM network as such support wap sites.

I do not know the technical aspects of it,may be askok or others can explain better.

Cheers!

wap.yahoo.co.uk , mobile.rediff.com work on Rsurf.

6230 has MP3 Player advantage over Nokia 6235.

WAP support by RIM will remain restricted, coz they are offering R-WORLD services over WAP itself. moreover the R-Surf that we happily go about shouting is actually a browser working inside a browser... If anyone wants to see the actual process how the connection takes place thro ... (if I am not mistaken, I had made a post about this .... a looooong time ago... lemme check that)

Cheers

Ashok
