There's a funny rumour going around. My friend who stays at Kanjur Marg has a dolphin (postpaid) and a trump(prepaid) card. He insists Trump has better coverage than Dolphin... Funny and I don't buy that ! The network's full in my area - Dombivli . It rocks...... My life has become soo cool with trump barring the ocassional mid nite network problems for a couple of hours. Anyways, I dont have a gf, so kisse baat karu raat ko ?? Sexygurl, oooooo .. im paranoid of you !!!!! Don't pounce on a baccha like me .... Exact date is unknown still of introduction 48823[/snapback] As far as I have heard ( from inside sources at Orange ), the date is supposed to be 1st Jan, 2006. They are planning to shut down the Orange network by 2100 hrs of 31st Dec, 2005 and restart the network at 0100 hrs of 1st Jan 2006 with HUTCH as the operator logo. BPL Mobile ( recently merged with Hutch - yet with Essar ) will follow suit in March 2006. The date for that network merger is yet unknown. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

My Orange (ex) phone now shows Hutch ( na.. i havent downloaded the Hutch logo from 6565 ), but my mom's cell still shows Orange ... Maybe they are doing it in phases.. Also, Hutch had started to use orange color for its services elsewhere, for which France Telecom had slapped a case in Delhi High Court. Then they reached an out of court settlement, as a result of which Orange was reverted back to France Telecom, so Orange in Mumbai became Hutch. And Hutch stopped using orange color Indiawide and switched to pink. And last I heard, Reliance is planning to switch colors too - something vibrant on the lines of Reliance Energy. Seems Anil has been after the brand repositioning, he also wanted the WW to be rechristened to something else, which seemingly was opposed by the top hinchos of the company, and he seems to have bought it for the time being.
