i dont think TATA is providing Handset Change facility ! u should call up TATA customer care to enquire about the change facility !

technically reliance and tata are using the same CDMA network so a reliance compatible CDMA handset will also work if TATA provides the changin facility

@akshatdesijallad!

What's thingy CC asked to u to change your phone software to shyam telelink. R u have to pay some charges? If it is possible to change the software of handsets to another, by the help of Handsets company's CC. It will be a great news.

Hey r this also a RUMOUR!!!!!!!! Kidding Enjoy!

Thanks and Take Care!

I use a Nokia 6585 for my RIM. I also saw the same model with a Tata connection.

Except for the looks everything is different.... I don't recall the exact differences but 6585 with TATA was more feature rich...

Aah I remember browing wap sites using 6585 on Tata...while on Rim there is no such feature also there is no R-world on RIM.

The TATA never edit feature of a phone. They worked like GSM provider worked. Its a style of Reliance to limited the feature of a handsets.

Thanks and Take Care!

by doing this limitation, are they going against the makers of the handset e.g Nokia. If they do so, why the hell Nokia makes these handsets with all these features, and why do we pay money and buy. Bcos the price we pay depends upon the features of the handset and not on the Service Providers Tariffs. Reliance (pure Indian Mentality).

The fact is this guys ... Reliance offers SMS free to any operator under DAPO. so if features like ATs to send SMS are implemented openly... dont u think I would have had a web server offering free SMS ... all accross ?

Since they have dug their own graves ... do u think they are gonna open up?

Again ... RWorld is where they envision their crappy dreams, what will happen the day they allow WAP surfing ? No one ... TRUST ME... NO ONE will even bother to glance at R-World. Cricket scores ... there are wap sites for that, chat ... there are wap sites for that ... and considering things... there will be nothing special about RWorld.

So that is never gonna happen...

cheers

Ashok

I would go in for reliance rather than TATA. They just are bad at business. Reliance knows how to do business :D . Besides, I have had a big row with TATA indicom ( previously Hughes Telecom ). It had gone to such an extent that I was about to send them a legal notice....

But reliance have to apply these limitation due to their services like R World and R Connect. Tata don't provide this type service except Tata Zone. So reliance have to configure there phone according their services. This is the base problem, which can't be solved in coming time. For some good services, u have to manage something.

Thanks and Take Care!
