abhay 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2005 In2cable offers broadband at Rs 450 a yearIn2cable India’s largest cable Internet network has slashed prepaid broadband prices to as low as Rs 200 a quarter or Rs 450 annually. This has been done to encourage Incablenet customers to avail of true value pricing and offering transparent ‘pay as you use’ schemes. The new schemes offer a plethora of packages with high speed at astonishing prices, which are going to benefit both home users as well as corporate users. Large Corporate houses and heavy users can benefit from unlimited broadband & competitively priced MB plans. For residential users 256 kbps services are priced at Rs 800 per month on their LAN services branded as In2net. hey is the plan 800 256k unlimited one ?? dose ne1 use this service

Speed 256 kbps something ...cable modem connection. Cost: Rs. 400/month. But I wouldn't touch them wiht a bargepole after my experience with them. In fact still to get my refund from them! Just hope other better operators make stuff available soon. Edited December 7, 2005 by raccoon
linuxguy 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2005 bah! Bombay is sick... I pay 650 bucks a month for 64Kbps! And due to the "gunda gardi" between In2cable and 7star, In2cable isn't available anywhere. So don't get your hopes up

Right. But still, it's quite a steal. I have got a hi speed net at office, as well as my brother's office. So we don't need any hi download limit for us at home. Even if this offer has some cap of few MBs per day (but certainly not 1MB!), the small fee should justify it. Don't look at it as a downloading delight scheme. look at it as a browsing+mail checking at rediculously low rates.
tanveer 59 Report post Posted December 8, 2005 I use night unlimited256kbps from sify with weekends(sat and sunday whole day) for 545. The speeds are good, but in case u need in emergency u dont have net in the day. So i use r connect for such times. On the weekends though the max limit is 150mb from 8am to 10pm
abhay 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2005 yup thats ur case but many of us dont need a broadband like u do! just for checkin mails and chat and stuff u probably need jst a 56k line for the kinda stuff u do on d net but we need a true broadband with no cappppsss! and i think im speaking for all those in this category! and this kinda ****tty plan is just a crap which for me is worse than a dialup
linuxguy 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2005 STOP IT! Stop ranting. The greatest ranter is here and he says STOP IT! Don't get me started on download limits, port caps, ****ty speeds, crappy availability, stupid uptime! :| Lets continue the discussion, what EXACTLY is the scheme from in2cable? If they can afford to give it at 450 a year then definitely IT IS __NOT__ going to be unlimited. Even if it IS unlimited then it might give speeds of say 48Kbps with a contention ratio of 500:1 and port caps!
