Arun 795 Report post Posted December 25, 2005 Here is a short review and comparison. I've just tried LG RD 6230 handset of my friend (he got it for Rs.7600 here in Trivandrum). Lookwise, the LG RD 6230 looks cool, and better than Nokia 6235. Nokia 6235 has a toy like feel and the buttons weren't comfortable. For the camera picture quality LG RD 6230 was comparable with the Nokia, but for the video quality, Nokia wins hands down ! For the MP3 player in LG RD 6230, I didn't like the sound quality much as the sound was kinda lound and lacked bass. Nokia 6235 is better in this department too. For R-World, the number of applications avaialble were not much since it is in BREW. And feature wise, both LG RD 6230 and Nokia 6235 have good features and LG RD 6230 is more easier to navigate and use. One big advantage for Nokia 6235 is that you can upload java applications. But if you need to store more pictures, videos, etc. in your handset for a longer time, LG RD 6230 is the one to opt for since it has 128 MB memory inbuilt and you can expand using miniSD card. Nokia 6230 has only 14 MB and so you need to keep transferring the files to your PC all the time. Attached: Picture taken with LG RD 6230 during day time under shade. Saurav 22 Report post Posted December 25, 2005 Nokia 6235 lacks MP3 player. 630 has got a MP3 Player. In case of Rworld Nokia 6235 is winner. But Now Rworld is paid. So probably i will prefer LG 6230. If Rsurf application is made available it will be sufficient for me. LG 6230 supports ringtone download from 8888 (got info from *333) pls confirm. theking 35 Report post Posted December 25, 2005 (edited) Not 14 but 10MB for mp3 and other addons!!..... But u can easily convert mp3s to amr......i have 9 amrs in my 6235 with a mere occupying space of 3.6MB......that too with a good 12.2MR quality ratio for amrs........ Does any one have a better conversion software...pls share... Further, i compared the image qualities, the one shared by arun for 6230 and with 6235 (I feel 6235 is betteroff):- 6230 Image Ratios:- Dimensions (Pixels)- 640*480 Dimensions (Inches):-8.889*6.667 inches Pixel per inch:-72.000 Pixel Dept/Colour:-RGB-8 bit channel Picture Mean:-139.19 Picture S.D:-75.65 Picture Median:-141 6235 Image Ratios:- Dimensions (Pixels)- 640*480 Dimensions (Inches):-3.2*2.4 inches Pixel per inch:-200.000 Pixel Dept/Colour:-RGB-8 bit channel Picture Mean:-117.65 Picture S.D:-64.57 Picture Median:-118 My conclusion:- If u want space, 6230............If quality,6235!!!!!!!!! clickrudra 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2005 HI all, basicaly i am nokia lover and i am using nokia 6255 but due to hipe created before launch of lg6230, i was little qurious about this handset. But after launch of this lg 6230 its very clear that there is no comparision between Lg and Nokia handsets. Though evry RWWE CC says you can upload up to 500 songs in Lg 6230 if you use 512 MB mini SD card, but here my quistion is ? is there any who has sucessfuly uploded even 10 songs. I didnt mean to completly dominate Lg but this is true all the stuff available in Lg handsets are very difficult to execute one needs to be tecnicaly sound if he wants to enjoy lg handsets. As far as Mp3 to amr converter go to forum.nokia.com and serach for multimedia converter, this is the best Mp3 to amr and .dat to 3gp converter.
