ani_meher 42 Report post Posted December 26, 2005 LG 5130 CAN NOT save picture/ringtone other than from R World ie made available from Reliance itself. So no use of changing MB etc. LG guys are just ignorant.

MVP 3 Report post Posted December 26, 2005 No man, we can download Ringtones and Pictures from MMS to Lg 5130 Sajokj, could you please post software version no of your 5130? Coz in my set theres no menu option in MMS inbox to set as ringtone or set as wallpaper. So I can't download ringtones or wallpapers from rworld. And I believe a lot of 5130 users are facing the same problem. You are one lucky guy if it works for you
ani_meher 42 Report post Posted December 27, 2005 No man, we can download Ringtones and Pictures from MMS to Lg 5130 How? If you open the MMS, and then select 'save image' or 'save tone', it gives some error. Also, if you see in the tones gallery, there are only 3 blank spaces, named RWorld Ringtone. There is no other slot for saving tone by MMS, like in 6130. Ditto for images. So I think it is impossible. If you have saved the images/tones, do tell how. FEVIN-RAJ 61 Report post Posted December 27, 2005 Bosss my handset also with the same software version but still I cannot save pic. from MMS ..........
amtrag 20 Report post Posted December 27, 2005 If you cannot save ringtones, check the size of the midi file attachment in the mms. It should not exceed ...I guess 4kb or so... On the other hand, LG6130 supports mms attachments upto 100kb or even more, so you could actually receive a 100kb ringtone and hear it too on your 5130 but when you try to save it, you would get an error. I too have sent a midi from my 6130 to my friend's 5130 and he was able to save it. I had actually sent the "drum beat" ringtone from 6130 (its a standard ringtone in this handset). FEVIN-RAJ 61 Report post Posted December 27, 2005 Up to how much size we can download image in LG 5130 ?
amtrag 20 Report post Posted December 27, 2005 ... It should not exceed ...I guess 4kb or so... Already mentioned in my post above...it is somewhere around 4kb ...try with a ringtone which is less than this...say 2-3kb to be on the safe side.
MVP 3 Report post Posted December 27, 2005 Mine is:S/W : RD513F11 PRL : 2 JAVA: CLDC-1.0 MIDP: 1.0 Mine is same too.But I don't have the option to save ringtone or wallpaper.I only have the option "Save Message" which I think saves it on the reliance server.Any way to overcome this?
