StaticElectricity 8 Report post Posted April 8, 2004 hello evry oneit is possible to connect through one pc to another by using Relience LG 2030 If any one do this plz tell me that kind of connection using direct dial from reliance phone to reliance phone is currently not possible since reliance does not allow data calls over their network. but it is possible to make a direct connection over the internet(which may not be the solution, but i felt it necessary to mention)

iiii_pretender_iiii 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2004 Yes static, once Both the pcs are connected to the internet, then they can be connected using some software like Real VNC ( http://www.realvnc.com) And thats what static meant by but it is possible to make a direct connection over the internet(which may not be the solution, but i felt it necessary to mention) But that is really going to be a costly affair ... And hence not perfect the solution to this......

StaticElectricity 8 Report post Posted April 9, 2004 So that means, u ppl want to establish a direct connection between two computers via phone? And how does that happen generally via regular Modems? what s/w do we need if we connect via a dial-up connection? via general modems we need one to be the acceptor and the other to be a dialer.. the dialer dials n the acceptor accepts the connection. then the pc's form a 1-1 connection and data access can take place on both connections.. it's not *necessary* to have separate software cauz windows networking can manage most things... anujit 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2004 It should work - from a technical point of view there isnt any problem. Unless Reliance has blocked it!!! However you will need software to enable your "server" phone to answer the call of the "client". But thats freely available anyways.
