amitmk 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2006 My front LCD stopped working within the first month. The phone hangs, deletes the phonebook when it pleases, doesn't work in cold areas, deletes the voice mails, messages, etc. I am gonna try and update the software version as suggested by some of you. Can someone provide details on the Rs 180 / 18,000 free SMS for 6 months scheme. I am on DAPO scheme. Was planning to give up RIM once it got over cause there would be no free messaging. But with schemes like the above bulk sms thing I am now motivated to stick on to RIM. Do u'll really think RIM is cheaper than other GSM service providers?? amarnath135 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Regarding the details of 180 rs. SMS topup card u can check out here. http://www.rimweb.in/forums/index.php?showtopic=5275 When compared to other operators reliance is cheaper with some of the recharge cards. you will have more options to choose from with out any hidden charges like daily rentals etc., SMS options, where no others operators are providing at these rates. raccoon 53 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 (edited) Thats not entirely true. Some GSM plans are cheaper than RIM. And until now GSM was way cheaper for SMSing ...until the 180 card! But still, you will have to deal with that 140/160 character thingy and other incompatibalities... Noway you can say RIM is cheaper, as a rule ...but then of course it depends on your indivdual pattern of use... Edited January 6, 2006 by raccoon
