Puneet 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2006 (edited) Agreed nokiaind.com is registered wiht some US partner of ICICI but that doesn't gives them a right to setup unsecured html forms for collecting credit card information on the internet, which could be used fraudently. Agreed its a genuine dealer, but it does not gives him a right to design his site as a rip-off from official Nokia web-site. It doesn't helps his cause if he names his site as nokiaind.com and for all links refers them to US site of Nokia. You will have to agree that the web-site was a rip-off, and very much resembles the phishing websites about which banks (including ICICI) regulerly warn their online customers. I would trust the guy if and only if he designes his website independently from official Nokia web-site. He could include links to Nokia if he wants. More importantly, if the payment gateway is setup on a secure connection with a reputed bank with a traceable security certificate. You might have got good deals from him, and will get it in future too, but I would not do business with him until and unless his site implements the basic necessities of a secure online financial transaction. And spaming and shouting are not trademarks of this forum. U need not defend the site now, coz if that was a legal site... why do you think it had to be taken offline? If it was a secure transaction gateway, what was a simple "send mail" doing on their feedback / payment page? what about the statement © Nokia India Pvt Ltd ? The phone call conversation i had with a mate at nokia, ensured how true the said site was... and well Cyber Crime dept, is not a bunch of jerks, they have smart brains to smell the right smells... and I sure am busy mailing them. btw a public announcement, spamming and too much caps will be looked at seriously.....that is considered against the rules of the forum. If you get so good quality pieces from this site, buy them and as some member has suggested, sell them at higher price to us only. If the quality is good, then you will get good money. If the quality is as bad as your netiquettes (if at all the mobiles are for real), then shove them up your...whatever.
