Times Now Launched On Reliance Mobile Phones

TIMES NOW, a Times Group & Reuters Service - An urban, 24-hour cutting edge English news channel, was launched on R World on Monday January 23, 2006, the multimedia application suite of Reliance IndiaMobile. In keeping with contemporary times, this is a first - the launch of a TV channel on a mobile phone even before it is available for television viewers on cable networks. The channel goes live for the TV viewers in the next few days.

TIMES NOW is a channel of big stories and endeavours to keep the urbanites in-sync with the important & relevant developments from the world of news throughout the day.

Reliance IndiaMobile customers are the privileged first to watch this news channel and content on R World.While those with Nokia 6255 and Nokia 6235 handsets that can support streaming can get to see the streaming channel, those with other R World models would be able to access news clips on demand.

Speaking on the launch of TIMES NOW on Reliance India Mobile, Chief Executive Officer of Times Global Broadcasting Company. Ltd. Mr. Sunil Lulla said, "TIMES NOW's association with Reliance India Mobile has created a unique solution for the urbanite. The urbanite continues to have access to news and information, while on the move, enabling mobile users to stay updated around the clock and Feel The News."
