racer007 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2006 (edited) Since there appears to be no way to run my 64bit win xp on lg 2030 handset using rconnect i tried to connect another computer using xp pro installed on it as host and my win xpx64 computer as client. Well systems seem to be "go" like pinging both the compuers from one another and connecting to the interenet from the xp pro host but when i try to launch the browser on the 64 bit it wont open any web page or even ping any site or ips on the net. I have enabled internet connection sharing on the host and tried both automatically assigned ip and fixing the client as 192.168.0.2 as manually done with 255.255.255.0 as sub net mask and even tryin both auto gateway and manual and dns server as the gateway and or also the one seen in ipconfig but there isno way that the web page will open. However if i install a proxy server like analogx and use the clinet thru that then i can access the web. This however defeats my purpose since without direct access like being able to ping the web from the client i am unable to use it for the purpose i intend to is there anyway to set it up so that my 64 bit system can connect properly thru the 32 bit xp using internet connection sharing without using the proxy sever and only the ics i understand it is supposed to work but i seem to be out of luck for some reason. I sincererely hope that reliance either bring out a new phone or have a workaround to use rconnect in 64 bit environment. I tried all the workaround i read on the forum here the prob seems to be no usb-serial converter that works in 64bit windows. i did manage to install the modem as 33600 modem as suggested in a thread here but never got to test it. Hope some genius here can take this up and suggest or find a way to resolve this thanks tons to all who bother even reading this. But i felt as 64 bit is coming in in a big way this is an important issue. Edited January 31, 2006 by racer007
