I dont think so cloning is possible on reliance networks..since they operate on CDMA 1X.. Cloning r common in garuda which operates on CDMA 2000.. then too, best is call *333 and harass them...lol..

Cheers!!!

Call up customer care and register a complain. Or else complain to the nearest policestation. but before that warn him.

CDMA2000 represents a family of technology standards that includes CDMA2000 1x, CDMA2000 1xEV-DO, and CDMA2000 1xEV-DV. Both Reliance and Garuda operate on CDMA2000 1x and both are clonnable (but don't ask HOW here ;) ) !

It is very much possible, and so many cases of cloning are actually happening on reliance network...one of the reasons why a few "sensitive" topics were banned on this forum.

Ya exactly right. There are some softwares available which can easily clone a RIM CDMA also. In your case, the person might be just kidding around. Were the messages sent by him a reply to something that you never sent?? Just try calling the fellow from another number.

I agree with arun.

There were so many cases in the past months/years, when the Reliance phones were being cloned in bulk in Delhi.

One should always be careful about his / her handset. One should always go to authorised service centre for the services of handset and should not go to private technicians.

In most of the cases private technicians / dealers, to which customers left their handsets with, were the main accused for cloning.

So be careful and enjoy !

Regards.

btw ... if after calling up the person... it turns out that the person who sent the messages is some nice hot chick ;) lemme know ... even I will message her back.

else ... rush to the nearest police station.. and well do what the police are good at ... "REGISTERING COMPLAINTS" if unsure how to do it.. please contact Kalyan_prince. .. he has a thread dedicated to the dedication of cops here ;)

Cheers

Ashok
