My Computer Starts Itself On Startup Of Window

i am using winxp.SP-2. once i used window key +E as shortcut for my comp since then whenever i boot, my computer start as the startup. how 2 stop it ?help!

also tell me how 2 remove quick time icon from d task bar

just right click at the quick time icon in the task bar and choose delete to remove the icon.

type msconfig on run

uncheck it from startup and services.

which entity to be unchecked to stop the my computer at the startup of the window.

plz tell. thanks!

look for qttask.exe and remove the tick. Its better to disable it from QuickTime's configuration s that the next time you run QT, it won't get added to the start again. And for the "My Computer" shortcut, did you add it in your Startup folder ?

ya it worked.Q time is removed but where & how to look for my comp short cut in startup folder?

Right click on Start button and select Open All Users and then open Programs -> Startup folder (may be Startup folder is HIDDEN) and check whether it hv ne My computer shortcut!

Or simply type msconfig in RUN dialog box and nevigate to Startup tab and check for the same!

U can also try to disable following option in Tools -> Folder Options:

Restore previous folder windows at logon

dear frend, i checked it but there is no my comp shortcut at the startup.it has Adobe gamma loader.exe shortcut & micrsoft office shortcut.

i checked d folder option also- > Restore previous folder windows at logon is already unchecked. shud i disable all the option at startup?
