Tipsy 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2006 I have upgraded from LG 2030 to LG 6230 (transferred my number to this). So now for me, LG 2030 is useless. I'm trying to sell it off, but I'm being offered just Rs. 300 for it?! Am I being cheated?
Puneet 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2006 Consider yourself lucky that you are geting 300 bucks!!! What more do you expect, when a new handset costs just Rs 1800.
Tipsy 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2006 1. Why is there a steep fall in price for LG 2030. Rs. 1800 to Rs. 300 in 2 years? 2. Will my LG RD 6230 also be worth Rs. 500 after 2 years? 3. If there is steep fall in price, why do people buy Reliance phones? Better to pay little more and get directly from LG. 4. How come with other phones brand new costs Rs. 4000 and 2nd hand Rs. 2000 even after 2-3 years?
krimson.kryptonite 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2006 1. Why is there a steep fall in price for LG 2030. Rs. 1800 to Rs. 300 in 2 years? A new 2030 used to cost about 3500Rs 2 years back. Now a comparable phone costs 1800Rs. 300Rs are being offered for your phone, because there are few takers for old phones, particularly becuase new ones are so cheap, and there are offeres which bundle phone for free (well, almost for free). In bangalore, you can buy a old 2030 for about Rs500. 4. How come with other phones brand new costs Rs. 4000 and 2nd hand Rs. 2000 even after 2-3 years? GMS have slightly higher resale values, because they are usable across operators, and it is easy to swap phones or change plans
Tipsy 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2006 I know they are usable across operators but why do people buy Reliance branded phones when they are going to lose a LOT while selling? Reliance branded LG 6230 costs Rs. 8000 and will be worth Rs. 800 (approx by seeing value of 2030) after 2 years. Similar Sony (direct) costs Rs. 10,000 and will be worth Rs. 3500+ after 2 years. So why buy Reliance branded phones?
gids 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2006 if its only for 300 bucks then plz don't sell it, who knows u can have a future use of it.
Arun 795 Report post Posted February 7, 2006 You might get anything between Rs.500 and Rs.750 if you look for more buyers. Remember this phone's price came down immediately after Monsoon Hungama that people just gave away the handset for the price they brought it (Rs.501) when Reliance converted postpaid customers who had pending bills, into prepaid.
