well then how does reliance infocomm send faxes...does they use BSNL or MTNL for that.....

I think they themselves divert their calls to a BSNL / MTNL no.

I guess, RIC's official Fax No., used to be an MTNL Number. Not sure wats the case as of now!

I think, it is their cdma network that does not support fax...

But their wireline would definitely support fax...mind you I am talking about their wireline here, Not FWP (which is a wireless).

I agree with you my dear friend. FLP does support fax.

But if there is a feature in CDMA handsets for FAX than FWP must support fax.

I think that there might be a government policy, which is protecting Reliance & Tata to launch the service.

In their FWP also there is facility "FAX ONLY". What is the use of that if they do not support fax?

Fax service is the most awaited service from reliance. It would be highly appreciable if Reliance start the fax service on their wireless network as early as possible.

Reliance will never start FAX service (data service) since it may cannabalise to some extent on their rconnect revenue. Example: People mostly use rconnect for chatting with video. but if pure data service is available then the users will connect to each others computer directly using reliance handset and Unlimited recharge vouchers.
