Nokia 6255 problem

Recommended Posts

;) I got my 6255 on 31st Dec 05. I was so happy to hav it as it had all the features tht i needed. But to my vein I started facing problem with the display in just 2-3 days. When I open the flap of the phone the main screen display starts flickering. I hav to hold the flap in such a way tht it does not open fully, then only the display remains stable. This also affects when i hav to attend a call. The call gets disconnected when i try to answer it opening the flap.

Pls help me guys as what can be done. I went to the nokia care they said they will have to send it to the main service centre which will take around 7 days. and they are not gonna give me a standby till tht time also. I dont know what to do.

I have been lucky with my phone though I too faced problems with software as well.

well its not about a single phone or make,

each and every phone has a problem. These types of display problems are there in 6680 as well. 2 of my friends faced the same thing.

One of my friends with sony walkman phone had a software bug as well.

Ramchi I guess had a problem with nokia 6600.

There are some problems with nokia 6235.

Go to Nokia care center and shout at them and they will replace your phone.

One thing I dont understand is how come such software problems crop up after a period of time, I mean why are these problems not there when we buy a new phone so that we can return it immediately and get a new one?

I invested around INR 60,000 on various Nokia phones:

Nokia 6600 - INR 22,500 - Frozen and almost fought Indo-Pak war with Nokia Care people before getting replacement

Nokia 6255 - INR 12.600 - Build quality is poor; could not withstand normal usage the hinge is cracking; right now with Nokia Care for the past 2 weeks.

Nokia N90 - INR 32,000 - Totally flawed software. You need to reboot as many times.

Sony Ericsoon Z600 - INR 18,000 - I have been using this for 2 years without a single issue. Infact, I abuse this phone more than Nokia phones.

I am disappointed with all Nokia phones.

European products can never match Japaneeze. Japs are the realy quality people in this earth. Europeans zimply pretend like expensive, premium bull**** etc...but their most premium products can never match against humble & quality Japanize products.

give this phone to nokia care and shift your no to some other phone .

search this forum for phone of your choice .

when you get back nokia ( if ever ) from nokia care then sell it and be tension free in future .

Even I faced similar problem.. I got my no. in another handset.. And went to ASC with this problem those guys told be that, They cannot take the handset without MDN.. So i again went and got a new no. And then given to ASC.. I hope i should get a replacement..

As few days before my cousin got same problem and he got the replacement..

But Its a shame on Nokia and Reliance as well.. as its a manufacturing defect and every other 6255 has this problem..
