Satish Kumar 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2006 Hello Everybody I have taken an Rconnect subscription using the PCMCIA card. While my main purpose is for internet access since a lot of my work involves uploading files, I have found that I cannot use the RIM number except when my laptop is on. Is there any way I can get around this? I want to be able to use this connection from a mobile when my laptop is shutdown. I know I should've thought of this before I went in for the PCMCIA card and taken a mobile and USB cable. I opted for the PCMCIA card since I have read that it will give faster speeds than a USB cable. Thanks and Regards Satish Kumar

ksbhati 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2006 i purchased a ZTE card for rs 6500 10 days back Hi ! What sort of speeds are you getting on your card ? I have just bought mine for Rs 6500 also three days back and am getting terrible speeds with it. It is much much slower than my FWP LG LSP-340E. I have complained to Reliance but nothing from them yet though they say they are trying to fix it. Also wanted to ask....do you get a "An Authentication Event has occured" while you log in and is this normal. When you click the Help on on the ZTE control panel....the document at the end says that this is supposed to be an error....I spoke to the Reliance Tech guys on phone and they are saying that this is normal...so why does the official help document list this as an error...?? Please let me know what actual speeds you are getting. Thanks
