i am having problem opening some wav files after i have transferred from some other nokia phones like Nseries phones. any solution to that!

Transfer them in pc, convert it into .ACC using nokia multimedia player.

now transfer .acc file in phone, and enjoy.

2865 is available for 6399 to be precise but in web worlds and expresses it is still being sold for 6700Rs.

What cable do you need, and does it work on Windows XP and FC5 (and/or Ubuntu) ?

2865 is now officially available for 6400/- if the rww express is good you will even get a exchange offer.

but web world are not promoting the phone ( ) instead nokia 6235 or lg 6330 is handed over to you.

If ur not looking for very good display go for it.

And yes R-connect works on the phone tested with DKU-2 Cable, Bluetooth and Infra red.

WAP site can be surfed with operamini also tested successfully operamini and flurry.

All in all good value for money.

How is the battery life? is the BL6 battery any improvement on older BL5 battery? How loud is the handsfree? Coz these two factors are most important for me.

battery life is good, around 2 days on moderate to heavy use of games & wap Standby time is >3 days.

handsfree is seemed good enough for me but it seems bit inadequate in heavy traffic conditions. loudspeaker option is also there & volume is good.

regarding wap u can browse any wap site thru that.

For Blue tooth Just Pair the Handset with Computer

Create a New Dialer from Start - Setting - Control Panel - Network Connection - Create New Connection and Follow following Instruction for the Option shown by Computer

1. Connect to Internet

2. Setup Manually

3. Connect using Dial up Modem

4. ISP Name = RConnect (can be anything)

5. Phone Number = #777

6. User Name = Your Phone Number

7 Pass and Confirm pass as your Phone Number

8. Click to Finish

9. Click to Properties when Dial Windows Appears

10. Select the Blue tooth Modem or (For DKU2 Cable Select Nokia CDMA 2865 USB Modem Instead)

11. Click OK and Dial

by the way as i an surfing just now, i see the speed as 460.8 kbps and not 115 kbps as available and claimed by reliance on other handsets.

is it just the number or real improvement . because i dont see much of difference in the data tansfer.

it shows tremendous amount of data transferred but no visible gains.

i am just trying to personalise my 2865.

i am trying to put in some likeable ringtones in my 2865. i tried indiatimes as i said earlier toooo, only mono ringtones... i want poly or tru....

Rworld tones - mp3 format does not match with this handset, and other are not worth mentioning

humm i should better start recording songs and set them as ringtones.. what do you say..

I have now logged on to zedge.net but then i dont find 2865, can anyone tell me what handset model number should one choose to download the ringtone or screen saver.

I accessed this website on 2865, it will take me some time for getting used to. .

one thing i can say is the display of this handset is very pleasing to the eyes ..(i.e. ). i tried putting in some jpeg and gif images but they do not give the same effect that they give on my laptop. dont know why
