nr2030 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2006 OS: windows XP s/w: rconnect installer zip for LG2030 serial type. when rconnect installer is exeuted it cribs about "failed to load MDMINST2K.DLL" i have seen this in help file, where it is quoted "pls download this file to comp if missing" but the file is available in C:\windows\system , system32 is it a dll version issue ? if so where do i get a new version of the same ? ashoksoft 83 Report post Posted April 19, 2006 use regsvr32 c:\windows\system\mdminst2k.dll (also ensure os compitablity, the file seems to be for win 2k, not sure if it is designed to support xp... yeah I know u might counter that xp is based on windows 2000 arch. as such on the lines of NT, but there are differences ) cheers Ashok Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
nr2030 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2006 i think i found what was going wrong. i was executing directly from zip utuility. it seems to work fine when i run it after 'extract'ing to local disk. ok iam dumb, but the software should have realised the difference in actions ;( Nr Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
