basant_jp 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2006 (edited) Now several laptops are available with embedded 3G chips to provide seamless wireless data capabilities. Several Lenovo (IBM) and Dell laptops are available with this feature, all such models atleast support the CDMA 1x/EV-DO chips. Such models include Lenovo ThinkPad Z60t, Lenovo X60, Dell Latitude D620 and Dell Latitude D820. I wonder if Reliance can officially configure such a laptop on their network. I do not expect them to offer laptops anytime in the future, so they SHOULD do it without any fuss. But I know, they will not, only reply I expect from them is that we do not support handsets (no matter if its a laptop or what) which are not provisioned for Relianae network...blah..blah..blah. Anyways, I belive Indicom can. Whatever, truly an impressive beginning to integrate wireless data connectivity in devices. I also read about integrating CDMA technology with devices like Digital camcorders, GPS navigation systems and other such devices. Proceeding towards all wireless world...Truly. Cheers!
