city02 63 Report post Posted April 22, 2004 Since the video conferencing infra is already in place, RWW should start tying up with IIT/IIM to offer short term executive education/management development courses online and put DirecWay Global Education out of business! I've spoken to people who are so dissappointed with the extremely unprofessional behaviour of DWGE specifically in their IIM-K course, that they requested me to post their emails as a warning to others who might plan on paying a large sum of money for these certificate courses: I don't know about the rest of the students but I personally feel the Hughes is providing such poor quality of logistics/infrastructure support because its simply not accountable once it takes payments from us.Until most students collectively put their foot down on the totally unprofessional way the course is being handled by DirecWay, its unlikely they will have any desire to change. We are paying close to Rs. 8 / min for this course and we have easily spent over 1-2 hours/month with students trying to sort out all admin problems that IIM-K has little control over. DWGE should have informed us properly about the 3 week delay in starting the course (they simply told us it was postponed without any reason). Then they should have never started the course without the material. My suggestion to the instructor was to have a DWGE rep available during EACH tea break to answer all pending admin questions in a public forum until all student issues are resolved. The study centres / franchisee have no control over the study materials so they keep pointing to DWGE for resolution which so far has not been forthcoming. DWGE needs to take total ownership for the delivery quality / experience of the students since they are being paid for it. Post your responses if you agree / disagree. I would give DWGE a big fat F for customer focus / attentiveness (maybe their senior execs need a refresher course in customer service!). PS: Did any of you notice that during one of the sessions someone @ Kozhikode forgot to switch off the tea break sign for about 15 min while the prof had already started his lecture? That's Rs. 120 / student we lost due to DWGE negligence! I would like to propose an extra / bonus session to compensate for all the time wasted so far on admin issues since we are paying for instruction time ...
