Hareesh 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2006 Hi, I'm facing a peculiar problem. I'm being able to connect to internet using my LG5130 (serial cable). But the data transfer rate is always ZERO bytes. Have anyone of you seen this before? Are there any possible solutions for this? I've already done the below: 1. Checked the signal strength and it looks decent. 2. Uninstalled the modem / network connection and Driver and re-installed everything once again. 3. Got my RConnect re-activated through Reliance Customer Care. Unfortunately none of these have helped in any respect. Any help would be highly appreciated. regards, Hareesh B'lore.
Nirvana 4 Report post Posted May 5, 2006 Hareesh, not sure if you are still having the problem, anyway... have you checked for any spywares in your PC ? Or is a firewall configured incorrectly ? This issue mostly occurs due to some software conflict in your computer. Other chance is network problem which occurs rarely only these days.
Hareesh 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2006 Hello Nirvana, IT WORKS !!!! Thanks a tonne for that valuable suggestion. The firewall configuration in my pc had been tampered and this was causing the problem. Once the same was corrected, am being able to getting decent speed to connect through Rconnect. Hence my problem can be summarised as "Incorrect configuration of Firewall was blocking the data transfer". Thanks once again, Hareesh

Hareesh 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2006 Rushik, Check if you have installed any firewall s/w in your machine. I had sygate personal firewall in my pc and some corruption on this was causing the problem for me. Uninstalling and Re-installing the same fixed the issue for me. regards, Haresh
