technogeek 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2006 Hey freinds, This is my first mail on this forum although I'm reading all discussions on this forum from quite a few months.I have a problem on hand and not able to solve it so I'm asking for a help from you guys many of whom are expert of PDA. Actulally I downloaded some softwares from this forum like beebopper,backupbuddy,yahoo messenger on this sunday. But just after downloading I switched on my mobile and it gets hanged. I tried soft reset 10-12 times and finally do a hard reset . Although my phone is working fine but I lost all data in my phone.I've have backup made on my PC of my address book but eversince that day my PDA gets hanged whenever I'm trying hotsyncing.Plz help me out Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
ashoksoft 83 Report post Posted May 3, 2006 This can happen when either the port is open or there is a conflict in the hotsync application.... since u are from mumbai, probably we could meet up one day... and try a hotsync ! what say???? Arun 795 Report post Posted May 5, 2006 Does the Hotsync process hang without any error shown in the Desktop Hot Sync Manager ? Is there any error log shown in the Hotsync Manager ? Since it occurs even after doing a hard reset, I suspect it to be a problem on your PC's port. Try syncing from another PC to check where the problem really is. technogeek 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2006 Thanks Arun, Actually I was able to hotsync my PDA yesterday night after several tries. The problem as I guess was with the backup file which is created in C:/program files/palm/backup.That folder also includes s/w downloaded from this forum like beebopper, backupbuddy,yahoomessenger.So,whenever I was trying to hotsync backup files for these s/w were also getting loaded on to my 7135 and once i get a prompt for reset my PDA gets hanged.I've deleted backup files of these s/w and able to recover my phonebook.So, now my problem is how to load these s/w safely on to my 7135.Thanks in advance to whoever helps me out.
