Bitpim Sync Errors

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

i am a new member to rimWEB , but i was glad to see the forum really very active & busy always. I am always a guy who is very much passionate with comps, i read most of the Posts by the users that really impressed me with a idea that u guyz are all really geeky :) that too special words to Ashok, Arun, Static,Emmi,NGcoders and more. i wish that u are all gonna have a real good future once u are fully into a field of this kind , May god bless u all

Anyway, i got a Reliance LG 2030 fone that is Deactivated , i brought USB cable and it did was not a use for me, because i was not able to use it, as my system detectys the USB , but it does not detects that as the USB cable for reliance and i am not able to use iti got BITPIM 0.7.12 but all was a vain, i was not able to connect it , cos, it got options to connect to the COM ports alone, i got only USB.

So i decided to buy the Serial , i too did, the cable was a little typical it had both USB & Serial pin attached with the mobile plugging pin.but it also again irritates me,

It charges thro the USB from the cable, and it does not again work with the serial pin. plz help me. i need assistance .

USB cable did not work for me. So I brought a serial cable (for Rs.275) and it worked perfectly !

I guess you can use USB with Bitpim..

It dint work for few and it did work for some others :)

When you install the R-Connect drivers, it will convert

your USB to a new virtual com port..

You download the drivers from here

LG 2030 USB

Then Open Bitpim

Go to settings and select the new port which represents your USB

and try now

One more thing..

You wont get the file system in the first trial..

I mean after you click the "/" it will show and error and

then you have click it again to get it properly :D

I am having a lot of problem regarding the connection with the phone with Com ports. More often than not, the Bitpim fails to communicate with the phone. i really don't know why and how it works simetimes and sometimes it doesn't. Can anyone tell me if there are some tweaks to configure my PC? I'm using Windows98SE on a Celeron 633Mhz.

You dont need any special tweaks ;)

Bitpim usually connects to LG 2030 after a error

ie. after you click / the second time

If you are not able to connect after second time and if its so that you were able to connect earlier, try restarting the phone and try again

Hi Everybody,

My friends knows that I can unlock LG 2030 or RD 7130 or moonlight. So, today one of my friends came and gave his phone to unlock. But bitpin not recognised the phone. I have both USB and serial cables. I unlocked many phones (LG 2030 or RD 7130 or moonlight) but this time I got an error.

After bitpim refused to detect the phone I attached my 2030 and refreshed bitpim and it showed the file system as before.

What is the problem with my friend's 2030?

Hi all,

I tried to use bitpim [http://bitpim.sourceforge.net] to access my rd2030. I just can view the file system, other tabs does not work and raise an exception everytime.

Did anyone able to access/modify ringtone/wallpaper/contacts tabs from bitpim?

Thanks

Does any one knows where MIN / NAM number is stored in LG RD 2030 file system?

I don't think the MIN/NAM are stored in the file structure...not seen it anyway. The easier way is to press Menu and Zero if you use Rel11 or use Inter PST. This topic is off bounds btw.

So you were able to access it and change the ringtones/wallpapers initially before the error started showing ? USB cables often have problems with Bitpim.

Mitian, The error messge you've submitted is just part of the error msg, Copy the whole thing so we can figure out exactly what happened and why it happened . If you want copy the whole thing to a text file and attach it. Also mention what Os you are using.

hey mitian, since u say that it gives an error every time, just keep in mind that usuall u have to try 2 times to access the filesystem.

The first time it always gives an error 'Device needs attention'
