Phone Modem Not Getting Detected

I have an HP laptop and LG RD 6000 mobile with post paid connection. I tried installing the R connect and PC Sync software on my Laptop.

The PC Sync got installed successfuly and is able to recognise my mobile.

But when i install the R connect the installation stops at the configure the cable step. It doesn't detect my moile modem or the cable.

Please help.

P.S. I checked the mobile at the LG service center and the mobile is working fine with r connect.
