Lg 2030 Charging Problem...

Recommended Posts

Hi people, I have a 3 year old LG 2030 which I am going to stop using this july as I will not be continuing with the DAPO. But unfortunately, my charger crapped up and the WW suggested that I get a new one. But I didnt want to spend on a new original one so I went it for a Indian made charger. Now it works fine and all but the backlight of my phone refuses to go off while charging. Now this is pretty annoying as I have to switch off my phone to get it charged. Also, I have no way of knowing when the phone is fully charged. Any help?

Since the warranty has expired I dont think I can take this phone to an LG service center. Besides, I am very busy with my exams right now and will be free only in mid-june so I wanna a quick fix if possible.

It's a strange problem... may be due to the limitation of the synchronisation between the handset and the charger.

Yo may try any one of these options:

1. Set the backlight mode (menu>4>3) to "Always off" mode.

2. Hide the phone with a towel while charging ;)

3. Accept the cheapo charger + Old Handset combination as it is!

yeah!

Its a very common problem specially in 2030, when we use 3rd party chargers/batteries.

So don't worry, switch off ur phone while charging if possible ;)

oh very well... but are you sure that there is no other fix for it?

Well, this problem has been discussed at length long ago.

Anyway, just press a few keys after connecting the charger...in some cases it used to trigger the backlight to switch itself off.

Just try and tell...
