Area Code Finder - CDMA and GSM Networks

Recommended Posts

Check out this excel file to find out the Operator and Circle/Area of any Indian CDMA or GSM mobile number. Just enter the first 5 digits of the number and press Enter to get the Operator name and the Circle to which the number belongs to.

Credits fly to 'theking' for passing it on

vishal did a similar thing for user registration form in a project

collected some 2600+ city names + std codes in india across 30 states!!

dont know if its still there with me, will share if i have it! it might be useful for programmers as its in sql format so u can incorporate it in any application

the mobile code thing was cool though

Both excel files are awesome and of much use to anybody wanting to check from where the call has come. In Today's India, when we have almost 100 million mobiles, it becomes very difficult to find out whether the call you received is from a local number or a national number.

Thanks a ton, Arun, theking and also Vishal Gupta for the painstaking efforts. Keep it up..

Been using it for a while now. Never got a chance to say how much useful they have proved for me. So here I am thanking both of you for these wonderful utilities.

@ Arun,

The excel file needs to be updated now with newer network info. It is almost five months old now and a number of new area codes have been introduced by all operators now.

Thanks
