It's a cell phone ring tone that many adults can't hear. In places like classrooms where cell phones are forbidden, users say it's perfect for announcing the arrival of a text message without being detected. One teacher, who couldn't hear it, played it for her first graders. All of them could hear it. The technology relies on the fact that most adults gradually lose the ability to hear high-pitched sounds as they age. The ring tone was developed in Britain and recently spread to the U.S. via the Internet. The cell phone ring tone is an offshoot of an invention called the Mosquito. It was developed last year by a Welsh security company and marketed as an ultrasonic teenager repellent. The Mosquito was designed to help shopkeepers disperse young people loitering in front of their stores while leaving adults unaffected. So its sorta secret ringtone, that you can let ur fone have. Even if it rings in class, which prof's gonna notice it anyway .. And if u r still hearing it, means u r a child !!!!
