ashishsoni 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2006 I use a SIP softphone to connect to a SIP account for voice communication using VOIP.. The problem that I am facing for quite some days is that I am unable to registre my SIP provider...freeworlddialup.com nor sipphone.com.. And the softphone works fine on my mtnl/vsnl dialup.. This happens when an ISP blocks port 5060,which is used for SIP communication... So can u please check if this port is being blocked by reliance..and if so then please rectify this issue so that i can use my softphone for VOIP communication.. Before about 2 months back..i was able to login to SIP providers from my softphone without any problems..through reliance rconnect...so it seems there has been a recent change of some sort made by reliance..which results in blocking of port 5060..which is a general SIP port used by any SIP provider..so it doesn't matter what SIP provider i choose...nothing is working. I have confirmed on the support forums of the SIP providers that blocking of the 5060 port is the only reason for such a problem..as on mtnl/vsnl dialup internet connection everything is working fine.. has anyone else been thru this problem?? If someone knows solun...or to whom i should approach please let me know... Thanks.
