abhay 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2006 hmm it can be traced easily 1) make a police complaint thy will take care of getting the tracing done from BSNL just pray he did not dial from a public place or some where from where hes not reachable like some1 else's office or something like that
@ksh@T 20 Report post Posted June 29, 2006 well the only option that i see is that you just inform the police as well as customer care ppl of the company to freeze all the complaints and whether the laptop is recd for any sort of damage by the person.... but the chances are minimal to trace
Arun 795 Report post Posted June 29, 2006 If you are sure that he has used the internet connection, then there should be some way to trace it out. Well everyone knows about BSNL/Sancharnet, it would be difficult to convince them. Try if you can get in touch with higher authorities there.
Shabz 8 Report post Posted June 29, 2006 well Abhay the police over here are *******s they even do not understand what laptop is leave alone them calling on BSNL to trace the laptop I had to explain them what a laptop is and what is internet and things like that
abhay 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2006 well thats the only way to get catch of the ROBBER!! as arun said it would be difficult rather almost impossible to talk to BSNL guys directly reasons :- 1) because we don't have the authority to ask them records directly -> Police can do that 2) because they are highly babu natured and lazy & under trained the only possible way to nab the robber is through telephone records <- as u said they have actually used the Internet after it was stolen
raccoon 53 Report post Posted June 29, 2006 Well, if you had a VSNL (Tata Indicom) net account you could have very easily found out the accessing number yourself from their portal. No such frills with BSNL. Anyway, since thats not the case, you could try to speak with the divisional engineer of the exchange or someone higher. No use pulling hair with the bureaucrats below.
