Here are some more approx guides about accomodation,

1 RK, usually < Rs. 1 Lakh, < 250 sq feet

1-2 BHK, Rs. 1 - 10 L, 250 - 500 sq ft

2-3 BHK, Rs 5 - 15 L, 500 - 1000 sf

3-4 BHK, Rs 10 - 25 L, 1000 - 2000 sf

Row Houses, Rs 20 - 40 L, > 1500 sf

Bungalows, > Rs 25 L, > 2000 sf

These are indicative median ranges and high cost areas like Mumbai & Delhi will be more than double the cost on average.

We have avoided using the more traditional household income since the cost of living and additional benefits (e.g., salaried people) make it even more erratic.
