amitstg 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2006 After i updated my XP through live update, after restart i get a beautiful warning logo that "you may be a victim of software counterfeiting" and the same icon is visible now in my system tray, one of my friend warned me that i may not be able to restart now (means if i reboot it wont as i use pirated XP) so i put my system in hibernate only. Puneet 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2006 Restore your system to a previous date, disable Automatic updates, and use "Notify me but dont download or install update" and then whenever windows notifies you, do not choose the WGA update.

Nirvana 4 Report post Posted July 19, 2006 For using Windows applications on Linux, you can use WINE or VMware or Bochs or Win4Lin or the new CrossOver Office from CodeWeavers which is based on Wine. Wine, in turn, is an implementation of the Windows API on top of the Unix/Linux operating system family.
