Hello my new friend!!!

My name is Anastasia. I have decided to try to find my happiness and my only

man through the Internet. It for the first time for me. As in Russian

Federation I could not find the man with which I could create the family.

I very long time was not solved on this step, but I could overcome it and

now, in a place absolutely new for me and not usual for me. I have decided

to write to you. I hope you do not think of me poorly because I'm as a girl

the first write to you to unfamiliar man and want will get acquainted with

you. I want to tell you some words about me. I live in Moscow

city. I'm 28 years old. I have a higher education. I have finished

the Moscow State University. I live alone in the one-room apartment.

I do not have any children and I have never been married. The family

values, good formation and education and happiness of my future

children are on the first place for me. To find the happiness I am

ready to leave Moscow and move to live in other country.

If you are interested in correspondence with me, please write to

me on this e-mail: eko-manager@moscowlights.com

I have a very small limit access to the Internet and for me to receive your

letter on this my e-mail easyer and cheaper. I with huge impatience wait

d00d u too fell for it?! :P I mean come on this is an absolute SPAM mail. Look at the obvious proofs:

1. Great English. Not something that you'll expect from an average Russian babe.

2. She doesn't want you to reply to the same email address that she sent you the email from. Why? :P

There are other odd things about the email as well. Did you checkout the headers? :)

1) :) Russian phasali hai !! aish kar !

2) 1000000 % spam :P

how do they get ur ID

previously i thought they get id's if we enter mail address on some sites and they sell them! but then when i created a "new" email address i still got spam on it!! so i realized

they much have some technique (mostly dictionary like) they generate RANDOM names & attach it to all available & popular email domains

like cracker@hotmail.com,cracker@gmail.com,cracker@yahoo.com etc etc etc

if u see ur other receivers of the mail u might notice the same

BTW i get same kinda mails on my SPAM email address djaby@hotmail.com

I receive lots like these per day, anyway my Outlook plugin (Inboxer) sorts them out to the Junkbox. Infact these russians have been spamming too much these days on RIMweb too, lots of spam posts have filled the Junkyard forum now which were deleted by the mods.

I think this is a technique used to weed out active email addresses, since those "illeterate ones" who think it is a genuine email would reply to the email address mentioned. That would help them build an active email address database to send more SPAM or would sell off the database for some quick bucks. Thats how spammers operate. BTW, please do not post email address directly in public discussion forums like RIMweb. Its easy for spam bots to extract email addresses automatically from websites. So better post them like yourname (at) yahoo.com to avoid such spam bots from indexing your email address.

Well any mention of spam makes me see red! :) In spite of taking all kinda care, the amount of spam I'm gettin has been increasing steadily. In fact 95% or so of mail im getting now is spam! Gmail and Yahoo generally do a good job of filtering spam (but sometimes tag genuine mail as spam, too) but my POP3 and Hotmail inboxes are facing the brunt of it! I'm using Mailwasher for my POP3 ids ...but i fear I'm spending more time dealing with spam than with the genuine mail!!!

One thing I'm fairly sure about - cellebrum.com seems to be giving/selling ids to spammers!

Well, I replied to that ...but seems the post has been deleted. Again, in brief, as I said last time, I started getting very similar kinda spam on the new email ids I had used to register with cellebrum. Used to use cellebrum before the 180 voucher, so dont remember the details now ...nor can I be absolutely certain that its Cellebrum who is selling ids to spammers, but I'd be very suspicious. Perhaps other users can see if their experience tallies. And it may be better not to use your regular email ids to register with such companies ...unless you want to be overrun by spam!
