I mean we have at least two handsets that have minibrowsers (6255 and 6235) but it can not be used because it is not allowed by reliance. Now say if I get a RUIM enabled handset from abroad and then I am not able to use wap on it? What use will an imported handset be if I can not access net on it? Can someone clarify? kshah 452 Report post Posted August 13, 2006 Network connection on any handset appears to be controlled by SHARED SECRET (Known as SSD_A and SSD_ When I changed SSD key in my 6155, it could not connect to WAP or PPP. If how SSD key is calculated is known I think WAP can be used on any handset. Right now I have RUIM but do not have RUIM handset, so I am unable to conduct any trials. Arun 795 Report post Posted August 15, 2006 RUIM cards are available in many places now. RUIM cards come with a connection as far as I know. So transferring a number may not be possible.
