Arun 795 Report post Posted August 3, 2006 I don't think you can use IR to connect via Net Connect (R-Connect) from the PC. These are the possible ways in which you can use the Kyocera 7135 to connect to the internet from your PC: 1. You can use your Kyocera 7135 as a wireless modem by: • placing the phone in its cradle and connecting the cradle to your computer’s USB • placing the phone in its cradle and connecting the cradle to your computer’s serial port • using the optional USB data cable • using the optional Serial Data cable Just curious, didn't you get the standard cradle charger which comes with the integrated data cable ? Arun 795 Report post Posted August 4, 2006 Yes, after you connect the USB data cable that comes integrated with the charging cradle to the laptop's USB port, run the "Fax/Modem" application in the Palm. This will detect the modem in the PC and will start installing the modem. Get the modem driver here. For the dialer, just create a new connection from Dial up Network. Arun 795 Report post Posted August 12, 2006 Are you referring to using Internet on your laptop using Kyocera 7135's infrared ? That would be painfully slow to use internet, even if you were able to figure out how to configure it.
ashoksoft 83 Report post Posted August 12, 2006 You can configure it manually, once u start a beam, from your laptop search for device, once found, assign a com port. Now create a DUN with the Modem on the said com port. Connect normally... but the speed is comparable to 1/2 the speed u get on a GPRS connection lolz Cheers Ashok
