All of us know hundreds of such sites. The actual topic here is WE HAVE AN EMAIL-ID GIVEN BY MOBILE COMPANY ITSELF TO SEND SMS DIRECTLY ON MOBILE. Few months back I called my relative in Belgaum Karnataka and he said this service is free for them and officially given by KARNATAKA AIRTEL. So I sent emails from Outlook express to 91984xxxxxxx@airtelkk.com and was surprised to recieve his call within 30 seconds as he reported of recieved the SMS with full messege body. Then tried with yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc (in plain text mode), he recieved each and every email as sms. Using this FREE service since long time. BUT THIS SERVICE IS ALSO AVAILABLE IN OTHER WAY, WHICH I AM USING SINCE MANY MONTHS ON RELIANCE, CLICK HERE TO SEND HOTMAIL-2-SMS TO RELIANCE, TATA INDICOM & HUTCH ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I request you to test this service from the area I have not tested and inform me so I can update it here with courtesy line! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Hope you all will like to have this info! In Mumbai we have three AIRTEL series 1) 9892xxxxxx old series 2) 9867xxxxxx my phone 3) 991xxxxxxx new series Tried to send email to all three, NONE worked! That information is really old (actually very old) and the source of information is not the only one you mentioned. There are many! In this list some email-ids are missing because they may not be working at all! You will notice that few are added also, which are not in old list. We hereby intend to TEST them and make it available with only working email-ids! Hutch was giving this service free in many circles, but now they are charging Rs.30 for registering mobilenumber@mumbai.hutch.in for EMAIL2SMS. Official information is on this page >> http://www.hutch.in/services/mail_on_phone.asp I think they will start charges for 982XXXXXXXX@BPLMOBILE.COM also because HUTCH and BPLMOBILE are now the part of ESSAR GROUP.
