Is R-dialer Necessary To Connect To Internet Using Nokia 2112 Phone As A Modem

i am trying to connect to internet without using R-Dialer,

do i need to set some setings in the PC also

i did not get the R-dialer with neither the phone nor the post paid connection

i got the data cable sepatately

what should i do

is a r-dialer necessary to connect to internet using phone as a modem

do i need to get it seperately from the web world.

2112 uses a serial cable. so all you need is to first install standard 33.6/56/112k standard modem and than make a simple dialup connection with dialing no #777 and username and password your 10 digit mobile number. it will work, i have tried with this handset.

AT+CRM=1;+CSO=33

i am connecting 2112 to pc using CA 42 CABLE that is connected to USB port at PC

I DONT KNOW IT IS serial or parallel, will this USB cable work with 2112 or i have to purchase new one

for using my internal modem i will need the telephone like cable that is not like CA 42 cable

is there any way to connect 2112 using the USB cable

if yes please let me know

for a usb cable until and unless the usb drivers are correctly (that makes a virtual com port) installed no further installation could continue
