abhay 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2006 (edited) Consumer forum summons Anil AmbaniReliance Communications (formerly Reliance Infocomm) chairman Anil Ambani was today summoned by a city consumer forum to personally appear before it on August 30 in connection with a complaint, accusing the telephone major of 'unfair trade practices'. The summons was sent on the basis of a complaint lodged by a resident here, accusing the company of fraudulently de-activating his mobile phone connection taken under the 'Khazana' promotional scheme. The District Consumer Forum (North) also directed the company to activate the phone connection with immediate effect. The forum also said that if the respondent failed to comply with either the summons or the direction on re-activating the phone, all bank accounts of the company would be frozen. http://www.chennaionline.com/colnews/newsi...RYNAME=Business can they do that ?? does AA have to attend the court personally ?? will he attend ??
