Good offer.... MTNL has to bring in a cheaper plan than Airtel to survive because other than that they have nothing to boast about.

My Airtel 256kbps Unlimited broadband costs me 999 + taxes and am using it for past 2 years and very happy with the speeds, up-time and above all customer service. And the best part of the Airtel connection is that after 11pm the speed doubles. I get download speeds of more than 35kBps (kiloBytes/sec). And torrent download speeds can shoot-up to 50-55kBps.

Yes the night thing is the best part about Airtel.

But the main problem with Airtel is that it is not available at all places, I had to take MTNL only because none of the other ISP s provide broadband in my area and I am talking about delhi.

Other category of people who go for MTNL is I guess people who already have a working MTNL lines at their places. They think that it is a good way to put the redundant landlines to use.
