Arun 795 Report post Posted October 5, 2006 You can Release and Renew the IP address from Command Prompt, to get a new IP address. For Releasing the current IP, use the command: ipconfig /release Then Renew the IP using the command: ipconfig /renew You can also try this which allows you to do it easily by executing a single file. Wait 1. When u connect on USB, u r not req to put any ip settings (thats what i think) 2. if u req ip settings for ur other networking requirements, i dont think its got anything got to do with router.. because it works on dhcp i guess.. Ashokjp 15 Report post Posted October 5, 2006 drali let me know how you are connecting with router do you use a PPPoE dialer or configured inside router itself to auto dial if you are using a ppoe dialer in windows, you just need to disconnect and reconnect. if you have configured inside router, i guess there should be a disconnect/connect button there.
