tanveer 59 Report post Posted October 12, 2006 I think rather than asking for new handsets, we should pressurise them to improve the after sales services. They manage nokia care for CDMA in delhi at least.

I totally agree. In Mumbai, they are apparently the only ones "allowed" to repair Nokia CDMA phones. A few Nokia service centers accept CDMA phones - but they clearly tell us that the phone will be sent to the Parel office of BrightPoint. I have tried contacting them on the phone and email - no one answers the phone and emails I sent bounced back (I dont remember the exact email id I used.) As much as I love Nokia, I think their CDMA phones are an embarrassment. I agree that Reliance locks a lot of features - but Nokia doesnt really provide much to begin with. I have a Nokia 6255 lying useless. I dropped it once and some component that connects the mic to the PCB got cracked. Even the guys at BrightPoint could not repair it because that part is unavailable. I can use a hands-free kit to talk but that is not a realistic option all the time. So now I have switched back to my old and trusted LG2030.
