pioneer 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2004 Hi guys I just picked up an LG RD 2130 handset along with an usb data cable for connectivity. I plan to use it with my laptop which runs win XP. The installation never completed. At the point where the system asks you to plug in the phone, windows comes up with a warnings about certification. After you click "continue anyway", you get a "Failed to install modem driver" message & the installer goes to the "finish" dialogue. Please help... rj
Arun 795 Report post Posted May 8, 2004 The certification warning does come and just click 'Continue anyway' to continue the setup. Usually if the installation reaches that stage, it should complete successfully. Can you post a screenshot of the "Failed to install modem driver" error message ? Also, are you using the software mentioned for RD 2130 (and not 2030) ?

Ganesh 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2004 guys, look at this after u activate rconnect by *412, 1) Install the drivers 2) use continue anyway for windows driver signing question 3) after installation of drivers reboot as commanded by the software 4) dont connect the phone to data cable or data cable to pc 5) let the pc reboot and POWER YOUR PHONE OFF 6) after the reboot, the installation sw pops up again. 7) Now POWER THE PHONE BACK ON, CONNECT THE PHONE END OF THE CABLE TO THE PHONE, AND USB END TO COMPUTER 8) Wait some time for windows to launch hw detected stuff( if this does not come, repeat step 7), and use continue anyway for windows driver signing issue 9) after the driver point, the installation sw waits some time and installs your phone as modem. remember one thing IF YOU DONT POWER YOUR PHONE ON AND CONNECT THE DATA CABLE, IT WONT WORK. EVEN IF YOUR PHONE IS POWERED ON DURING AND AFTER STEP 6, POWER IT OFF AND POWER IT BACK ON.this will solve all troubles hope this helps
