tanveer 59 Report post Posted October 28, 2006 Ok, i asked you to post it,and since now i have successfully logged in,i can confirm that it is working. However the default browser seems to be working fine and better than opera mini, which is giving more errors than before.moreover, i am travelling so there may be some network problems as well. So enjoy till it lasts.

ashoksoft 83 Report post Posted October 29, 2006 I just hope that it is not a glitch from their end coz somehow - this goes against their policy of dealing with customers kidding... well long way to go rim "D
KumaarShah 143 Report post Posted October 29, 2006 Too good to be true, if it lasts. Enjoy till it is there. Any one has any ideas on the tariffs? I called up *333 and had to educate the CCE about WAP. They still do not know what is WAP. One of them asked if I meant VAS. and another tried to fool me by referring to WAP enabled handsets. Anyway, CC does not know about WAP and also charges for WAP services.
tanveer 59 Report post Posted October 29, 2006 Those nerds would never know.the other day i went to a tata ind hub and asked a cce about the possibility of using wap on a prepaid tsim.he suprisingly had never heard any of the two terms
Breaking News 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2006 they r charging r-connect chrges fr using wap
tanveer 59 Report post Posted October 29, 2006 Whats the source of this info
ashoksoft 83 Report post Posted October 29, 2006 Confirmed source would be a Kyocera 7135 user. .. U would be charged as per r-connect charge, since it is out of bounds of the walled garden. Even on a Kyo you are charged R-connect charges in case of wap / http browsing... so assume the same holds true for the wappers
mehtakushal 1 Report post Posted October 29, 2006 How can they charge us without informing???????? Someone pls confirm about this R-connect thing. I hope its not true!!!!!! Also I had been using WAP throughout the day.........I hope they r not charging!!!!!!

tanveer 59 Report post Posted October 29, 2006 (edited) if you have info, post the source.this wap had worked for twenty days or so,then it stopped.that time we wer nt charged anything, who knows this might be another trial.third party browser seeks permission for network access, this also occurs in case of r bill and city guide, will they be charged too?will people be charged for rsurf also as per r connect charges,we do not have r surf on our handsets. kshah 452 Report post Posted October 31, 2006 When WAP wasworking in past, I tweaked my phone using my mobile number as Username and password for loging. That time I was not charged for R WORLD charges for sites I visited using opera and flurry mail. Now I can not test as I am using VX6600 and it supports fullfledged browsing. But nokia user can try changing UN & PW to MDN instead of QNC and see if it works. Use diego for tweaking.
