prathod 3 Report post Posted November 2, 2006 I think toll free is charged a fixed monthly rate up to a certain number of hours of usage. Beyond the limit, an additional charge is imposed. And bsnl and mtnl demand bank guarantee to provide these numbers. never heard about reliance toll free number,is there any ? Greens 21 Report post Posted November 3, 2006 Thanks for the informations Arun. BSNL toll free number is only accessible from BSNL/MTNL network only. Reliance toll free number is accesible from most of the mobile networks. Reliance TOLL number has EIGHT digits. Example Air Deccan Toll free number 39 00 88 88. GSV13 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2006 However its not a toll free no its a local call rate no. Advantage with Reliance is that the company provides same 8 digit local no for almost all major cities.
Puneet 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2006 ^^^^ Right said, gavnit. Reliance numbers are not toll-free, for a number to be toll-free it has to be in the a special series as per the the national Numbering Plan (and can start only with 1). What Reliance provides is the benefit of calling a local landline number anywhere in India to the consumers, and the call from all such numbers are forwarded to the national call-center of the agency. GSV13 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2006 ^^^ I don't think any of the pvt companies has any strict rules for corporate unlike bsnl/mtnl. You have to fax them for any details regarding it and one of there corporate sales executive will call you and give you a deal according to the numbers i.e. expected amt of call to be recieved in a month , no of trunks req, where to call to be forwarded and many more pts. Also the rate plan is not same for any single entity.
