city02 63 Report post Posted May 11, 2004 I miss the old look & feel - I had already got used to it! :'( Unless there is a way to 'change skins' or something! I'm sure enough people must have spent time & effort on creating this new one so not to take that away from them at all... but that old one just seemed warmer and fuzzier the new one is more cool & distant. what do the rest of you think? Arun 795 Report post Posted May 11, 2004 You can easily change it from: My Controls > Skins and Languages > And then select 'Invision Power Board' from the drop list and then click 'Change my Account Options' button. The default skin will be reverted back in a few days.
emmi 3 Report post Posted May 11, 2004 I ve tried most of the skins and liked the default one.i.e invision baord etc etc.I've also noticed that the webpage loads faster with this skin.
Ashokjp 15 Report post Posted May 11, 2004 Its true that pages load a bit fast with the default one.. But sometime we get bored seeing the same stuff again and again.. And so the new skins are there as a option I liked the MacAquaBadge skin Cheers!!! :'(
emmi 3 Report post Posted May 11, 2004 The default one has a Win xp touch whereas the MacAquaBadge skin has a mac touch.Anyway both of them rock.
StaticElectricity 8 Report post Posted May 11, 2004 what you say that the pages load faster with the default skin maybe because all the elements of the older(default) skin are already there in you'r browsers Cache so u dont need to d/l the same pictures of 'delete' 'edit' etc each time.. if u use the new skin for sometime it'll be just as good.. emmi 3 Report post Posted May 12, 2004 No i dont think so static i never used the old skin on my laptop, but when i changed the skin they were getting loaded faster.I think the skinned webpages are graphic intensive thus making the code a bit larger.
rajatng 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2004 I tried loading the pages after removing the cache from my browser. Even then, the old stylesheet was faster. Love the old look.
