Honest 836 Report post Posted November 9, 2006 ^^^ Ya u can choose UPGRADE instead of NEW INSTALLATION while setup procedure. You will not loose any installed softwares. Regards.
Vishal Gupta 4 Report post Posted November 9, 2006 Both options r possible! If u choose "upgrade" not "clean install" in setup, as Honest suggested, then u'll not loose any data or software installed! And if u want to install it on D: drive, then u'll get dual boot system and can boot in both XP with SP2 and without SP2
anujit 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2006 (edited) If you already have XP why do you want to install XP w/ SP2 again on another partition? Get the 295 MB SP2 patch from somewhere (ask a friend with a broadband connection) and install the patch only. Your software will be perfectly safe.
